Dr. A Harish Rao

Dr. A Harish Rao is a Mangalore-based cardiologist practising his given field of specialization since the past 12 years. Dr. Rao graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and then achieved the doctorate degree of MD in General Medicine from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum. The fellowship program at Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain (BMJ) Heart Centre, Bengaluru under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, provided Dr. Rao extensive training in every major discipline of non-invasive cardiology primarily preventive cardiology that teaches how to reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk by providing expert training in lipid management, hypertension treatment and various other factors that contribute towards heart risks.

By adopting a career in academic cardiology, Dr. Rao currently tutors medical trainees as a Professor in the Department of General Medicine at the Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mukka, Mangalore. He has shared his scientific papers through four publications in indexed journals. Simultaneously he also serves as a consultant cardiologist in several hospitals in Mangalore.
